Get involved

Give two hours. Or a 5 a.m. Or a skill.

Three formats, and we are honest about all of them: a serving shift is two hours and will stay with you, a kitchen shift starts before dawn and is real work, and remote roles come with a brief and a deadline. All three beat a one-off visit with a camera.

Three ways in

Pick the one you can actually sustain

A queue at a gate depends on people turning up. Choose the format you can actually sustain — coming once honestly beats promising every week and vanishing.

Serving shift

About 2 hours · At the hospital gate

Hand over 500 meals with the team. The easiest way in and the one that changes how you see the city. Come once with no commitment; if you want a regular slot, pick a consistent day so the route can rely on you.

Kitchen shift

From 5 a.m. · Before the route leaves

Prep, cook, pack and load. It starts early and it is real work. A short food-safety briefing comes first, and closed footwear is not optional.

Skills volunteering

Project-based · Remote

Design, data, accounting, legal, translation, photography and video. We scope the work properly, give you a brief and a deadline, and credit you publicly.

We read every application and reply within four working days — including when the answer is that we don’t have the right shift for you right now.

  • Every volunteer completes a food-safety briefing. Shifts involving children also include a short safeguarding briefing.
  • Serving and kitchen shifts are in Bhopal. Skills volunteering is fully remote, from anywhere in India.
  • Orientation is 30 minutes, online, and runs every week — you will not wait long to start.

Questions before you apply

For serving and kitchen shifts, no — come once and see. If you want a regular slot we ask for a consistent day so the route can rely on you. Remote and skills roles are project-scoped with an agreed deadline.
